The seeds of Turner Plumbing were sown in the late 1930s by Louise C. Turner and her husband, Charles Hollingsworth Turner, affectionately known as Holly. During challenging times, Holly worked as a plumber under a demanding employer. When Holly fell ill, Louise informed his boss, only to be met with an ultimatum: if Holly didn’t report to work, he’d lose his job. This pivotal moment ignited Louise’s determination to establish their own plumbing business.
With cash in hand, Louise attended an auction in Downtown Jacksonville and purchased a truck. She then picked up her son, Worth, from school and instructed him to paint “Turner Plumbing” on the vehicle. That evening, when Holly returned home, Louise handed him the keys and declared that they now owned a plumbing company. Together, they nurtured the business, with Holly managing the fieldwork and Louise overseeing office operations and bookkeeping.
After Holly’s passing, their son Worth Turner paused his studies at the University of Alabama to lead the company. Under his guidance, Turner Plumbing flourished, upholding the values of honesty and loyal service instilled by his parents. Worth dedicated himself to the business for many years, eventually passing his extensive plumbing knowledge to his son, Buz Turner.
Buz took the helm as the owner and operator, with his wife, Carla, managing office logistics and financials, specializing in general contracting. Their son, Worth Turner, expanded the family’s entrepreneurial spirit by establishing the Hollingsworth Showroom in Jacksonville and Tampa, FL.
Their daughter, Kendal Turner-Rohane, now serves as President of Turner Plumbing, carrying forward the family’s legacy with dedication and vision. She oversees all aspects of the business—both in the field and in the office—ensuring operations run smoothly, teams are supported, and customers receive the highest level of service. Kendal’s leadership blends a respect for time-tested values with a commitment to excellence that drives the company forward.
